Meta's latest coding assistant targets large agentic workloads, migrations, and bug fixes — going after enterprise codebases already served by Cursor and Copilot.
Meta released Muse Spark 1.1, a coding assistant emphasizing large agentic workloads: bug fixes across sprawling codebases, framework migrations, and multi-file refactors. The product enters a crowded field dominated by Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and increasingly, Claude Code.
Muse Spark 1.1 leans on Meta's internal experience running billions of lines of code. The pitch: unlike general-purpose assistants that struggle in monorepos, Muse Spark was trained on and tuned against Meta-scale codebase patterns.
Meta is targeting enterprises with 10,000+ engineer teams and codebases too large for a single-agent context window. That's a narrow but valuable segment — and one where GitHub Copilot has historically underperformed on cross-file reasoning.
Enterprise coding tools are sticky once adopted. Muse Spark's real competition isn't features — it's dislodging incumbents already embedded in developer workflows. The company hasn't disclosed early customer numbers.
